As I prepared to write this article I really wanted to lay a verbal smack down on the GOP with some waggish repartee. You know, get a few bazingas in on the Republicans while making merry with all of you; pointing and laughing at how ridiculous some people are. But as I sit here contemplating the whole situation it doesn’t really seem all that funny any more. Well, the idea of Lou Dobbs of Fox (ahem) “News” getting his panties in a bunch because cartoons are “indoctrinating” children with such radical notions as: caring about other people even if they are different, being conservative (very deliberate word usage) with the environment we live in (I bet Lorax doesn’t care for flammable water either), sharing with those who are in need, and that greed can be destructive is kind of, well, ludicrous. Well worth some pointing and laughing.
What is she blathering on about, you may wonder, and can she just get to the point already? Last night on the Fox Business show, Media Matters reports, Lou Dobbs had some rather startling revelations to make:
“Now, an “Unmentionable” — a story you won’t hear anywhere in the liberal national media, or nearly all of the national liberal media. Hollywood is once again trying to indoctrinate our children. Two new films out this year, plainly with an agenda, plainly demonizing the so-called “1 percent” and espousing the virtue of green-energy policies, come what may.”
